Some say Twitter is a waste of time. However, it is the world’s largest platform to strike conversations globally and is a very effective way for cyclists to network, campaign and communicate.
I have been very keen to embrace Twitter. Like many cyclists I am IT savvy. It has been useful to network with cycling organisations, cycling media; print, internet and television. Twitter was especially a great tool to use to let my friends and followers know where I was as I cycled across USA in 2013 from Los Angeles to Boston covering 3415 miles with my daughter Catherine. Do you remember the poem ‘The Blind Men And The Elephant’ by John Godfrey Saxe, where six blind men were partially exposed to an elephant and had their own interpretations on what an elephant would be like. In the story, each blind man created his own version of reality and were correct in their narrations based on the limited exposure to the object. They are a fugitive couple and partners in crime. They were last seen in Vancouver in Canada sometime in January 2019. But they are never stationary and capable to operate from any location around the world. Current location of suspects is somewhere in Delft city of Netherlands. Both are dangerously armed with sophisticated skills to brainwash others. These repeat offenders target innocent communities and do it deliberately. Their secret intent is to destroy the way humans have been moving traditionally with motorized assistance. They basically want to change the transportation systems. To achieve this they have even created a blue print.

Auke van Andel is the founder of Bicycle world – a Facebook group about cycling and all kind of cycles, from city bikes to handcycles and from penny farthings (high bikes) to recumbents. Auke lived in the Netherlands his whole life and has never owned a car. Walking, cycling and using public transportation is what he does to get around and he rather takes a train for a holiday than an aircraft.

Paul Richardson is a 46-year-old athlete from Scotland. Paul is married to Keira (a keen runner who is doing the London Marathon this year) with 2 kids (Finn 8 and Ava 10).
Paul lives in Lauder in the Scottish Borders which is an amazing part of the world. Paul loves to cycle and runs in different trails as well as likes going on holiday and socializing.
He has taken part in many cycling and running events including – Edinburgh Marathon, Mighty Deerstalker, Caledonian Etape, Ken Laidlaw Sportive, Tour of the Borders and Edinburgh to St. Andrews.
