From a small idea sparked during COVID-19 with a vision to build a cycling community, and then to making it a nationwide movement; Giant Bicycles India is growing stronger with its Giant Riding Club (GRC) campaign. With over 13,000+ members registered with the GRC club on ‘Strava’, a global Fitness App, Giant Bicycles is seeing a higher energy in the 2026 season.
A Milestone Journey:
The mission of GRC is to promote the sport of cycling and create opportunities of group riding. GRC offers a growth opportunity for riders to ride long distances-typically 50-60 kms and be a part of a cycling network.
Sunday Revolution:
The GRC campaign aligns with the ‘Sundays On Cycle’ campaign started by the Honourable Sports Minister of India Shri Mansukh Mandaviya Ji under the Fit India Movement program. Its curated endurance rides encourage individuals to develop a consistent habit for fitness and get a sense of accomplishment. The rides are social, inclusive and goal-driven with a pre-planned destination that covers ride support which includes a back-up vehicle, hydration and a mechanic.
GRC Rewards Challenge:
Like every year, GRC 2026 will have 6 rides across multiple cities in India between January to March. The campaign features 2 rides every month – mostly on alternate Sundays with a simple goal of converting people’s new year fitness resolutions into reality. Participants are motivated to complete all the 6 rides to qualify and increase their chances of winning a Giant GRC 2026 limited edition Jersey, a medal and a certificate.
Community Spotlight:
The GRC format appoints one Lead Rider for every city for guiding the pack to a new destination in every ride. The rides are medium paced, fun-filled and includes complimentary breakfast. Riders can capture the unique moments on camera and the best photos stand a chance to get featured on the Giant Riding Club Instagram page.
Mumbai Chapter:
The Mumbai chapter of the GRC 2026 campaign is being led by Vijay Malhotra, the founder of Pedal and Tring Tring blog. He is a friendly and helpful personality with 8 years of experience in cycling. Vijay is looking forward to receiving the communities support for the GRC rides-just in the manner in which he has been supporting all other rides and events in the MMR region. The 1st GRC ride in Mumbai will take place on 11th Jan’26 starting from the Giant Bicycles Store located at Santacruz West. The ride details provided in the below Instagram post.
