IN THE SPOTLIGHT: MAYUR JAIN FROM MUMBAI

Everymonth I intend to bring a spotlight on one cyclist from around the world. I will introduce him/her briefly by talking about their major accomplishments and do a rapid fire question and answer segment.

This month I am covering Mayur Jain, a midlife cyclist from Mumbai. He is an author of a self-help book ‘HI FIVE!’ published worldwide in the year 2020 and available online on amazon.in and other portals. The book helps the reader to list down life goals and draw a route map on how to reach there. I have read the book and it has personally helped me to clearly envision my future plans. Hence, I strongly recommend it to all the readers of this blog. Moreover, all sales proceeds from the book goes to charity.

The first edition of Jio Mumbai Cyclothon was successfully concluded on 13th November 2022 with over 5000 cycling enthusiasts having participated in the event. Suniel Shetty, Vrushali Shinde and Tiger Shroff, the Green Ambassador of Jio Mumbai Cyclothon flagged off the various race categories.

We went for a group ride with visually impaired cyclists from the ABBF foundation and Divyang Sports and Cultural foundation. Both are registered government organizations and are working for the welfare and upliftment of the visually impaired children and adults in the society.

It’s the standard steel black model, and technically termed as ‘M6L’ – where M stands for the handlebar, 6 is the gear speed and L is for the mudguards.
