18-year-old Nihar Thakkar from Bengaluru has developed an artificial intelligence – sensor – based first bicycle counter of India. The bicycle counter is fitted inside a digital signboard which counts the number of cyclists using the bicycle lane through the day. It re-sets at midnight and starts counting again.

Along the Vikhroli stretch of the Eastern Express highway in Mumbai, there are a number of Pink Trumpet trees. These gorgeous looking trees welcome you with its blooming flowers. They look stunning when in full bloom mainly between December and February, generally associated with dry periods. But the tree also blooms during few other months when dry leaves are shed and fresh flowers blossom.

Yesterday, I discarded the 2020 calendar. This year is like a bad dream, and like most of you even I want to forget about it. In Maharashtra, we had one more twist with another round of night curfew announced by the Chief Minister. Apparently, this is a preventive measure to regulate unwanted movement of people and gatherings at public places. The night curfew is imposed for 15 days, from 11 pm to 6 am, between 22nd December 2020 to 5th January 2021.
