Bandra, the heart of Mumbai suburbs is all set to welcome tourist from all corners of the world. Neighbourhoods are shimmering with lights decorated over old Portuguese houses. Cafes and Bakeries are baked up to host tourists with special menus and cuisines. Bandra, the heart of Mumbai suburbs is a cosmopolitan area and hosts a Christian population along with people of many other faiths. The native residents have a deep history of culture and traditions. There are several churches, crosses, bakeries, and quaint houses tucked inside gaothan villages that resemble the true spirit of the local community. The neighborhood is in its full glory in December with Christmas vibes and attractive decorations, cribs, Christmas trees, and lighting in Bandra.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTING IN BANDRA

Yesterday, I discarded the 2020 calendar. This year is like a bad dream, and like most of you even I want to forget about it. In Maharashtra, we had one more twist with another round of night curfew announced by the Chief Minister. Apparently, this is a preventive measure to regulate unwanted movement of people and gatherings at public places. The night curfew is imposed for 15 days, from 11 pm to 6 am, between 22nd December 2020 to 5th January 2021.

THE ART CAFE, BANDRA

On a winter evening of December 2018, i visited a place called ‘Me Time Art Cafe’ located at Bandra. 

My craving for a ‘Coffee’ in a chilling weather and the word ‘Art’ finely inscribed on the signboard were enticing reasons to get drawn inside the venue.

The cafe entrance was carrying a festive mood with Christmas decorations in optimal glory. The right wall of the cafe facade was full of life with plants displayed inside a variety of footwear. Continue reading “THE ART CAFE, BANDRA”
