The Rotary Cycling Rally for Diabetes in Mumbai is an annual event organized by the Rotary Club of Mumbai South of district 3141. The event is organised every year to raise awareness about diabetes and its prevention. The rally, which is open to all ages, is a great opportunity for participants to get some exercise while supporting a good cause. The last event was held in January 2020 and none after that due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Happy New Year to you and your loved ones. My first blog of the year is about a year-end holiday in Goa, India. I went on a road trip with my friends and stayed at the Dersy Resort, Agonda Beach in South Goa. Agonda is a beautiful, secluded and small beach in the heart of Agonda village. It was at the peak of the global Covid-19 pandemic, when a gig worker desperately reached outside a bicycle shop. The half opened shutter and a ray of light beaming out of it gave him hope that he would be able to find a bicycle at this store. A large group of migrant laborer’s were traveling back home on foot or on a bicycle in the emergency lockdown situation in India – all other transportation were closed at that time.
