VISIT TO RIDE ASIA EXPO 2024: A GLIMPSE INTO THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the Ride Asia Expo 2024 at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. This three-day extravaganza, held from April 19th to 21st, was a treasure trove for anyone interested in the ever-evolving world of electric vehicles (EVs), bicycles, sports, and fitness.

The buzz at the Ride Asia venue was palpable. Over 300+ exhibitors showcased their latest innovations, with a clear focus on electric mobility. From sleek e-bikes and powerful e-scooters to futuristic EV concepts, the expo offered a glimpse into the future of transportation.

Here are some highlights that caught my eye at the Ride Asia Expo 2024:

E-bikes take centre stage:

E-bikes were undoubtedly the stars of the show. There was a mind-boggling variety on display, from commuter-friendly models to rugged mountain bikes with electric assist. The focus on sustainable transportation was refreshing, and it was evident that e-bikes are poised to become a major player in urban mobility. It is interesting to note that the ebikes have varied applications for instance – Zadd ebikes launched at the expo is targeting micro logistics segment with its electric cargo cycles.

A haven for fitness enthusiasts:

The expo wasn’t just about vehicles. There was a dedicated section for fitness equipment and apparel, catering to fitness buffs of all levels. Interactive fitness demonstrations and workshops added to the immersive experience.

A platform for innovation:

The expo also showcased established brands like Ralson tyres, Alwyn Bikes, Neelam cycles etc. It also provided a platform for upcoming startups like Avitri bikes, Astra bikes, Cult sports etc to present their innovative products. From smart cycling helmets to connected fitness trackers, there was a lot to discover for the tech-savvy visitor.

Kids Section:

And there were plenty of stalls catering to the junior cyclists. A wide range of attractive, made in India pocket friendly baby bicycles, tricycles and scooters were displayed at the venue.

Womens Bicycles:

This year the focus on women centric bikes was noticeable. More and more brands are offering women specific bikes right from commuter series to performance oriented bikes.

Networking and knowledge sharing:

The expo offered ample opportunities to connect with industry experts, fellow enthusiasts, and potential business partners. I had the honour to meet industry experts and discussed opportunities of collaboration and learnt a lot from their knowledge.

Overall, the Ride Asia Expo 2024 was a stimulating experience. It showcased the exciting advancements happening in the mobility and fitness sectors, all with a strong focus on sustainability and a healthy lifestyle. If you’re passionate about EVs, cycling, or fitness, this expo is a must-attend for future editions.
