MYBYK COMPLETES A DECADE OF SERVICE IN CYCLING

Leading public bicycle sharing operator MYBYK is celebrating ten years of successful operations in India. The Ahmedabad based company led by the Founder Arjit Soni has achieved this milestone along with his team who has stood by him even in most difficult circumstances.

It’s a known fact that cycling has not been a priority for the government officials and only remains on paper as a matter of public policy.

Those who are involved in the cycling industry will agree to the fact that investments in cycling businesses is not been a viable option and potential investors have stayed away from it.

Despite Financial, Operational and Demographic challenges, MYBYK has remained consistent with its core principles of sustainable cycling and eco-friendly transportation. It has not just stayed in the game but proven its value through a significant contribution to the cycling industry.

MYBYK recently organised a grand event on the occasion of World Bicycle Day on 3rd June 2024. The event was held at Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad and was graced by hundreds of cyclists.

In an interview with the local media, Arjit Soni said “I am grateful to the entire MYBYK community who have gathered here at the Riverfront to celebrate the World Bicycle Day. People are using bicycles for leisure and health purposes and I urge everyone to use bicycles for commute as well. Our vision is to see a combined use of bicycles along with public transport which makes an effective way of reducing congestion and pollution”.

Currently, MYBYK services are available across six cities in India with a fleet of approximately ten thousand bicycles which includes geared and electric bicycles.

The journey of MYBYK has been full of resilience. The brand has posted a series of milestones achieved in the past ten years on their Instagram page.

I have personally used MYBYK electric cycles during my trips to Ahmedabad and Indore and have found it very convenient. I take this opportunity to congratulate Arjit Soni and his entire team for doing excellent work in the field of cycling. The efforts made by MYBYK will always be remembered in the history of Indian cycling for setting the foundation for a bright future for sustainable travel.

Lastly, I invite more people to do any choice of cycling that you like, be it leisure, endurance, commuting, touring or sports.

MYBYK is playing an incredible role in enabling us to cycle more often and it’s our responsibility to make sure that we avail of the best possible facilities that we have around us and make our cities free of noise and air pollution.
