CYCLE FOR A CAUSE

Divyang Sports And Cultural Foundation is a registered NGO formed by the visually impaired athletes to encourage and support Para-sports culture. The group members are engaged in tandem cycling since 2017 and have trained and built a community of 30 visually impaired cyclists so far.

The NGO conducts weekly tandem cycle rides with the help of 10 volunteers as pilot riders and the group has also undertaken long distance tours.

‘West Coast Riders’, a Mumbai based cycling club organizes and conducts planned rides with Divyang Sports through which all kinds of cyclists get a chance to mix-up with the visually impaired, know them better, share joy and even become pilots for them.

Besides cycling, the young girls and boys also play other outdoor and indoor sports like badminton, tennis, swimming, yoga, mallakhamb and they are extremely optimistic about their future in sports.

These talented athletes are in need of support in terms of equipment such as new tandem bicycles and other sports and safety gear.

West Coast Riders, SportszUnite (An initiative to promote sports development at grass-root level by Saisha and Krishiv Gupta), and pedalandtringtring.com has come together and initiated this fundraiser to facilitate Divyang Sports And Cultural Foundation and fuel the growth of Para-sports in India.

I invite all my readers to extend your generosity for this noble cause and help the Divyang Sports And Cultural Foundation fulfill the dreams of these Para-athletes.
